The pie chart presents the level of adoption of Open Innovation approaches by Italian enterprise companies. The Open Innovation pradigm is based on an innovation model according to which, in order to create more value and compete on the market, companies can no longer rely only on internal ideas and resources (as is instead the claim of vertical integration), but must also resort to technological tools and competences from the outside. The data has been collected through an online Survey developed at the end of 2020 which involved 175 CIOs and Innovation Managers from large Italian and multinational companies, and Public Sector entities (over 250 employees).
