The purpose of this document is to summarize the results of the 2019-2020 research conducted by the Supply Chain Finance Observatory, which had the following objectives: measure the potential and serviced available Supply Chain Finance market at both an Italian and international level; define the criteria to select the SCF solution, both towards suppliers and customers that best suits different needs; understand the impact of Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain on SCF solutions, as well as the effect of the introduction of mandatory Electronic Invoicing; define the link between SCF and Risk Management; delineate the main organizational models of SCF programs. The results obtained show how Supply Chain Finance is more and more mature, becoming a strategic managerial instrument.
