The methodology used in this Report

The analysis is based on Lightcast’s proprietary database of online job postings, which, while not perfectly corresponding to actual vacancies, provide a reliable indication of employers’ recruitment activity.

The database includes billions of postings collected globally since 2012, with over 17 million related to Italy from 2019 onwards. These data are gathered daily from job boards, newspapers, and company websites, then carefully cleaned and deduplicated to ensure that each position is counted only once.

Finally, the job postings are classified by location, industry, occupation, and required skills, allowing for a detailed and structured analysis of labour market trends.
