Objectives of the Observatory
The Data Center Observatory was established for research related to activities of the Cloud Transformation Observatory with the aim of creating and spreading knowledge on the Italian Data Center supply chain and on the infrastructure existing on the Italian territory, inasmuch as it is a strategic asset for the digitalization of the Country and a key element of international competitiveness.
The Data Center infrastructure aims to be a technological enabler for the delivery of services and solutions supporting digitalization of businesses and of the business models of the country’s digital supply chain. In the past years the market has shown growing interest, resulting in a considerable increase of investments and the opening of new Data Center infrastructure on the Italian territory.
The Data Center Observatory aims to become a precompetitive point of reference on this topic at Italian level, developing interpretation models that can support companies and institutions in making strategic decisions.
