Objectives of the Observatory
The Data Center Observatory was established for research related to activities of the Cloud Transformation Observatory with the aim of creating and spreading knowledge on the Italian and European Data Center supply chain and on the infrastructure existing on the relevant territories, inasmuch as it is a strategic asset for digitalization and a key element for the international competitiveness of the continent.
The Data Center infrastructure aims to be a technological enabler for the delivery of services and solutions supporting digitalization of businesses and of the business models of the European digital supply chain. In the past years the market has shown growing interest, resulting in a considerable increase of investments and the opening of new Data Center infrastructure in Italy and Europe.
The Data Center Observatory aims to become a precompetitive point of reference on this topic, developing interpretation models that can support the strategic decision-making processes of Italian and European companies and institutions.
