Digital B2b
The digitization of B2b processes in Italy, from the value of electronic invoicing and document dematerialization to collaborative projects, with data from Research conducted by the Digital B2b Observatory of the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano.
Objectives of the Observatory
Established to prove the value of B2b process Digitization , the Digital B2b Observatory aims to propel the country system toward more meaningful and aware digitization in which electronic invoicing is just the starting point, becoming a point of reference in Italy for business and PS decision makers.
Digital B2b Observatory Research
As part of the annual edition, the Digital B2b Observatory of the Politecnico di Milano aims to conduct the following Research activities:
- define the document management market and estimate its value, including the three main phases of document formation, management, and storage;
- analyze the document management solution offering (e.g., DMS, WMS, ECM, BPM) and examine the types of documents within enterprises and the types of documents exchanged with business partners, their degree of digitization and storage;
- analyze startups operating on document management, to better understand the directions of innovation in the sector;
- monitor Italian and European regulations related to digital storage and define the impact for Italian businesses;
- monitor eIDAS2, eFTI, eCMR and electronic payment regulations including an analysis of the related impact and opportunities for businesses;
- monitor the evolution of NSO (Nodo Smistamento Ordini – Electronic Order Exchange Platform) and Electronic Invoicing at the Italian level;
- monitor the spread of digitization solutions of internal processes (e.g., DMS) and interfaces (e.g., EDI) in Italy;
- monitor institutional data on certificates issued and signatures generated and survey of the main signature platforms on the European market;
- identify regulations governing sustainability issues in supply chain processes and the impact on businesses;
- identify potential Use Cases of AI and GenAI application in the Digital B2b field.
