Objectives of the Observatory
The Digital B2b Observatory (formerly Electronic Invoicing & B2b eCommerce), founded to highlight the value of Electronic Invoicing and Digitizing B2b processes, is focused on driving the Country system towards a more significant and aware digitalization in which electronic invoicing is just the starting point, and becoming a point of reference in Italy for business decision makers and the Public Sector.
Digital B2b Observatory Research
As part of Research the Digital B2b Observatory aims to:
- monitor legislation on E-Invoicing, digital storage, document dematerialization, and process digitalization;
- monitor B2b transacted value in Italy, the share managed through B2b eCommerce solutions, the trends of the past years, and identify the players and roles of companies operating in the B2b eCommerce supply chain;
- define a journey towards varying degrees of maturity aimed at tracing the evolution in the adoption of B2b eCommerce;
- analyze the spread of mandatory B2g and B2b electronic invoicing at European level, understand the resulting impacts and benefits, the most widespread models, and the next steps of the various European Countries;
- monitor the evolution of NSO (Nodo Smistamento Ordini – Order Sorting Node) and of the Acquisti Pubblici in Rete (Public Procurement Network);
- analyze the EU and international scenario regarding document digitization and customs procedures;
- understand Transport Document digitization opportunities and how they can be used and estimate the benefit of introducing an electronic DdT requirement at national level;
- monitor the evolution of European legislation on electronic CMR and EFT;
- monitor the spread of digitalized solutions (EDI, Marketplace, etc.) in Italy;
- analyze the qualitative benefits and opportunities resulting from innovative payment solutions and methodologies in B2b;
- examine the opportunities offered by different types of digital and electronic signature on process digitalization;
- identify main international Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in administrative-accounting and supply chain processes;
- estimate the benefit of introducing RPA solutions in administrative-accounting processes;
- analyze main Customer Experience drivers in B2b, the enabling technologies, and related impacts on business performance;
- identify some approaches for leveraging data that derive from and can used in administrative-accounting processes
