Life Science Innovation
Established in 2021, the Life Sciences Innovation Observatory aims to analyze and promote innovation also based on digital technologies, in clinical research, and in the development of new Life Sciences products and services. The Observatory intends to develop a point of reference for decision-makers of the Life Sciences sector to build culture by spreading knowledge on innovation topics in this field and generate opportunities to meet and share experiences with various stakeholders in a precompetitive context.
Objectives of the Observatory
Established in 2021, the Life Sciences Innovation Observatory aims to analyze and promote innovation also based on digital technologies, in clinical research, and in the development of new Life Sciences products and services. The Observatory intends to develop a point of reference for decision-makers of the Life Sciences sector to build culture by spreading knowledge on innovation topics in this field and generate opportunities to meet and share experiences with various stakeholders in a precompetitive context.
Life Sciences Innovation Observatory Research
As part of its third edition the Life Sciences Innovation Observatory aims for the following Life Sciences based Research goals:
- identify the benefits and e main hindrances related to innovative instruments and models for the collection and valorization of data that can also come from clinical research;
- understand the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Life Sciences sector and in particular in the predictive and personalized medicine field;
- look into opportunities provided by real world data (RWD) and real world evidence (RWE) and patient care, and clinical research challenges;
- analyze the level of adoption and spread of digital therapies (DTx) in Italy, mapping business models and challenges posed;
- study the potential offered by innovative technologies such as 3D product printing in the Life Sciences sector;
- monitor the evolution and main updates of the legislative and regulatory environment at national and European level.
