DQuaDLA
Project Description
DQuaDLA is a joint initiative that addresses the challenges posed by mass tourism in the border regions between Italy and Switzerland, specifically in Northwestern Italy and the cantons of Ticino and Grisons. The overall objective of the project is to develop algorithmic tools for processing data relevant to tourism management, supporting local administrations in effectively monitoring, managing, and, where possible, redistributing tourist flows to preserve the quality of life and the attractiveness of destinations. The anticipated outcome is greater sustainability of tourism, minimizing its impact on local infrastructure, the environment, and the livability of these areas.
Our Role
Within the DQuaDLA project, we coordinate the analysis of case studies at both national and international levels and support the systematic cataloguing of data sources and integration methodologies, as well as the development of a comprehensive stakeholder mapping and the assessment of their needs.
