The intention of the Observatory is to provide a cross-interpretation of data and trends, for example consumer behavior and spending, UX innovation, content protection, …– to help identify evolutionary processes of the digital content market.
The Digital Content Observatory is, actually, a meta-observatory grouping four vertical Observatories dedicated to main digital content types.
The four vertical Observatories are:
- Video Entertainment
- Music, Podcast & Audiobooks
- Digital News & eBook

The goal of each single sub-Observatory is to be a point of reference for companies and the press regarding market data, analyses, and reflections on the respective digital content analyzed.
