GreenFit

Project Description

GreenFit is a collaborative project that brings together research institutions, technology developers, and agricultural operators to address the barriers that limit farmers in the adoption of environmentally and climate smart practices. By combining advanced technologies such as AI-based decision support systems, IoT sensors, and XR (Extended Reality) training tools, GreenFit focuses on optimizing resource use, improving decision-making processes, and strengthening resilience to climate change. The project’s skills development program and knowledge-sharing platforms ensure that farmers and rural stakeholders are actively engaged in the development process.

Our Role

Within the GreenFit project, we lead WP4, playing a key role in the development of the GreenFit Digital Agriculture Observatory, which aims to serve as a hub for the dissemination of EU-wide data and analyses. The Observatory will produce country-specific reports for each target nation, detailing the state of adoption of digital solutions – particularly those supporting climate-smart practices – as well as the main factors influencing their uptake and the observed benefits. Its overarching goal is to inform stakeholders and guide the development of future policies and initiatives.
