Objectives of the Observatory
The Intelligent Business Process Automation Observatory stems for the experience of the Artificial Intelligence Observatory. It aims to highlight the strategic value that Artificial Intelligence technologies provide to business process automation, emphasizing the potential benefits regarding competitiveness, profitability, promptness, and increased effectiveness in decision-making contexts. In particular the project aims to establish a permanent point of reference for decision makers to leverage the innovation potential where Robotic Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence solutions converge.
Intelligent Business Process Automation Observatory Research
As part of the Research, the Observatory aims to aims to photograph and understand the status quo of Intelligent Business Process Automation in Italy. In particular, it aims to:
- critically and pre-competitively survey and analyze the technology offering, identifying current technology evolutionary trends;
- estimate the spread of initiatives in this area in large Italian organizations and identify the benefits arising from these initiatives;
- identify successful use cases in various business processes;
- look into and create awareness on the variables that negatively or positively influence such adoption (e.g., process discovery methodologies, project development methodologies, organizational choices, dedicated skills management, reusability of developed services).
Advisory Board
To foster continuous dialogue and steer the Research toward the trends that generate the greatest value for companies, the Intelligent Business Process Automation Observatory has formed a select steering group composed of prominent professionals from the Process Intelligence and Automation field, representing major international organizations across leading industry sectors.
