Private Capital Impact
The Private Capital Impact Observatory aims to build a robust understanding of the role of Private Capital—with particular reference to Private Equity, Private Debt, and related instruments—in the development of the Italian economic and productive system and in the generation of long-term returns.
Objectives of the Observatory
The Private Capital Impact Observatory aims to understand and analyze how Private Capital—with particular reference to Private Equity, Private Debt, and related instruments—contributes to the economic and productive development of the country, examining how the entry of a fund affects the operational growth, strategic strengthening, governance evolution, and organizational development of affiliated companies.
Through empirical research, data analysis, and engagement with industry practitioners, the Observatory aims to:
- Analyze how funds engage with and support companies at each stage of their lifecycle;
- Track how affiliated companies evolve across operational, strategic, and organizational dimensions;
- Examine governance structures and the dynamics of collaboration between funds, entrepreneurs, and management teams;
- Explore the cultural integration dynamics that emerge between the fund, the entrepreneur, and any newly introduced managerial figures, assessing how these processes shape organizational balance and drive value creation;
- Develop metrics and analytical frameworks to map value creation journeys over time.
The aim is to provide a comprehensive view of Private Capital as a significant driver of entrepreneurial growth and a broader national economic and productive landscape.
